The Beast- Part 4: The Image Of The Beast

Last updated on August 3, 2025

The “image of the beast” is a critical element in understanding the beast system prophesied in the book of Revelation. It is not merely symbolic; it carries deep implications that directly impact our spiritual lives. This image represents a spiritual reality that the enemy will use to manipulate, deceive, and control humanity. As Scripture reveals, it is through this “image” that the Little Horn—also known as the false prophet—will enforce universal compliance with the “mark of the beast.” Without receiving this mark, no one will be able to buy or sell, making it not just a spiritual test but also a matter of survival. While I plan to address the mark of the beast more fully in another post, for now, let us focus on understanding what the image of the beast truly is.

To grasp the full meaning of the image of the beast, we must first understand what is happening in the spiritual realm. At this very moment, there is an ongoing war in heaven—a battle between the forces of light and darkness. The apostle John recorded a powerful vision of this battle.

Revelation 12:7-9 “Then a war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But the dragon was not strong enough, and no longer was any place found in heaven for him and his angels. And the great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled to the earth and his angels with him.

The devil has long held humanity in spiritual captivity, deceiving the nations and operating from the shadows. His influence has kept the world under darkness. But now, something has shifted. The archangel Michael and his angels are defeating the dragon and casting him out of the heavenly realm. This victory does not come from human strength, but through the redemptive power of Christ and the unwavering faith of God’s people.

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

As God’s people awaken to the truth and walk in the Spirit, they gain true spiritual freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Freedom is not merely a state of being—it is a divine dominion. Through this freedom, God enables Michael and his angelic host to defeat the devil. The once-dominant grip of Satan weakens as the Elect—the sons of God—rise up across the earth. These are the ones bringing light into a world engulfed in darkness. Their appearance signals that the devil has been cast out of the heavenly realm, and they serve as visible signs that the Kingdom of God is drawing near. When we see the Elect awakening, we can know that the Lamb has opened the first seal and that the fulfillment of God’s purposes has begun.

As this spiritual awakening unfolds, a counter-force emerges in the world. The beast rises from the sea, symbolizing a worldly empire energized by satanic power.

Revelation 13:1-2 “Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

The beast does not arise in a vacuum—it emerges in response to the rise of God’s kingdom and the spiritual awakening of His people. It seeks to crush the freedom that has helped God’s people in overcoming the power of the dragon in the spiritual realm. This oppressive system will target the saints, aiming to suppress and silence those who have the testimony of Christ. At this time, God will begin to visibly establish His government—the Kingdom of God—right in the midst of the worldly rule of the beast.

Daniel 2:44 “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

God will use the sons of God—the Elect—to form this Kingdom. These are the 144,000 Israelites, sealed by God, who stand with the Lamb on Mount Zion.

Revelation 14:1 “Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.

As the Kingdom of God begins to rise and draw the attention of the world, the Beast will come to see it as a formidable threat. In response, the multi-polar Beast system—originally unified through the influence of the one world religion, symbolized by the Harlot—will eventually turn against this religious component of its own foundation. This betrayal marks a pivotal moment in prophecy: the infliction of the “deadly wound” upon one of the Beast’s heads, symbolizing a profound crisis within its system. Yet this apparent collapse will not remain unresolved. In its aftermath, a second beast—known as the Little Horn—will rise up out of the earth (believers) to fill the power vacuum and restore the broken beast system, thereby advancing the next phase of the end-time prophecy.

Revelation 13:11-12 “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

The Little Horn will rise to become the new spiritual arm of the Beast. At first, it will present itself with a lamb-like appearance—gentle and seemingly Christ-like—deceiving many with its resemblance to the truth and the ways of the Kingdom of God.

However, beneath this façade lies the voice of the dragon—arrogant, blasphemous, and filled with pride. Through cunning imitation and counterfeit righteousness, the Little Horn will lead many astray. In time, it will cast off its disguise and align itself openly with the Beast from the sea—a symbol of the unbelieving nations.

As the Little Horn consolidates and centralizes the power of the multi-polar Beast system under its command, it will turn its fury toward the saints. These faithful witnesses, standing firm upon Mount Zion, will face intense persecution as the Little Horn wages war against all who testify to the Kingdom of God — Mount Zion. This persecution is the rebellion that Scripture warns us must happen before Christ returns. The Little Horn will perform false signs as a show of spiritual authority.

Revelation 13:13 “He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

The prophet Daniel saw this same rebellion in vision.

Daniel 8:10 “It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them.

Despite its growing power and influence, the Little Horn cannot immediately prevail against the saints, for the Kingdom of God holds ultimate authority in the spiritual realm. The saints who dwell on Mount Zion serve as the true spiritual hosts—those entrusted with heavenly authority and divine testimony. However, the Little Horn will raise up counterfeit saints—figures who appear righteous and bear resemblance to the true elect. These false saints will also have hosts in the spiritual realm, yet they will remain subordinate to the genuine saints of God.

This development will give rise to a spiritual rivalry, a contest for supremacy in the unseen realm. The Little Horn, through its false saints, will seek to elevate its hosts as the primary spiritual authorities, challenging the position of the saints on Mount Zion. The question will emerge in the hearts of many: to whom shall the nations and peoples stream for truth and divine counsel? In this spiritual struggle, the battle will not merely be for influence on earth, but for dominion in the heavenly places where the true authority of the Kingdom is established.

The saints, however, are like fortified cities in the spirit. They are chosen vessels, hosting the true presence of God. To breach their spiritual defenses, the Little Horn will resort to technological means—what the Bible refers to as “earthen ramps.”

Habakkuk 1:10They mock kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; by building earthen ramps they capture them.

With the help of this technology, spirits will no longer need to enter through doors. They will gain access through “windows”—spiritual backdoors.

Joel 2:9They storm the city; they run along the wall; they climb into houses, entering through windows like thieves.

This technology will allow the Little Horn to invade the spiritual houses of people, bringing down the saints and taking control over “the host.” When this happens, the Little Horn will trample Mount Zion, and God will consider this act as full rebellion.

Daniel 8:12And in the rebellion, the host and the daily sacrifice were given over to the horn, and it flung truth to the ground and prospered in whatever it did.

With the host under its influence, the Little Horn will command the people to make an image of the beast.

Revelation 13:14
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

This “image” is more than a mere symbol. It is a spiritual likeness—an ideology and spirit that mirrors the nature of the beast. The Little Horn will implant this ideology into the spirit realm, forcing people to accept and follow it. In place of truth and freedom, this image will demand obedience and spiritual submission. It is a counterfeit to God’s kingdom—a rebellion in spirit form against Mount Zion.

Conclusion

The image of the beast will manifest as the spirit and likeness of the beast system in the spiritual realm. The Little Horn will bring it forth in rebellion, to oppose the kingdom of God and replace truth with deception. This image will serve as the ultimate symbol of allegiance to the beast, and its creation will mark a critical moment in the unfolding of end-time prophecy.

That is all for now, friends. I pray this message has helped you gain deeper insight into these profound spiritual truths. In the next post, I will discuss the “mark of the beast.” Until then, may God bless you and keep you strong in the Spirit.
