Little Horn – Part 2: Lucifer

Last updated on August 28, 2021

Introduction

Lucifer is also known as the “man doomed to destruction”, “the son of perdition”, “the man of lawlessness” and “the man of sin”. He will be the “abomination that causes desolation” that Jesus Christ told us to watch out for. Lucifer will be the last leader of the “little horn” religion.

The little horn is a religious organization that will be Babylonian in nature. Here is where Lucifer, the “son of dawn” will set up his throne. He will be considered the king of Babylon.

When Lucifer is finally ruling on earth, the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is at hand.

Come and join me and I will share with you my insight into this end-time character called Lucifer a.k.a the man doomed to destruction.

Lucifer

Now, here are some of the verses that are telling us the details of his arrival:

Daniel 8:23 In the latter part of their reign, when the rebellion has reached its full measure, an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.

Basically, the verse above tells us that, a leader will come to sit on the throne of the “little horn” religion. That leader is Lucifer. He is also known as “the man doomed to destruction”, “the man of lawlessness” and “the man of sin”.

The Rebellion & The Man Of Lawlessness

Furthermore, the “rebellion” that Apostle Paul talked about in the following verses would be taking place at that point.

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

The verses above were based on the book of the Prophet Daniel that the Apostle Paul was referring to.

The King Who Exalts Himself

Here are those verses:

Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

As we now understand, the verses we just read from Daniel chapter eleven are about the little horn. However, the prophecy about “the rebellion” that is to come would already be happening at this point in time, with Lucifer calling the shots as the leader of the little horn religion. So in essence Lucifer as the leader of the little horn religion will be the “king who exalts himself”.

More information about this insolent leader who is Lucifer, the man doomed to destruction, is given to us in the following verses:

Daniel 8:24 His power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause terrible destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the mighty men along with the holy people.

Persecution Of God’s People

The mighty men and the holy people that the verses above are referring to are the Two Witnesses and the 144,000 Israelites. They will be given into Lucifer’s hand at some point in time but will eventually be rescued by God during the first resurrection.

In fact Jesus Christ himself warned the believers about this coming event.

John 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

A parallel prophecy about the little horn and Lucifer’s persecution of God’s chosen people was given to Apostle John in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Craftsman

Lucifer will most likely come from a secret society that practices the “craft” as the following verse is trying to imply.

Daniel 8:25 Through his craft and by his hand, he will cause deceit to prosper, and in his own mind, he will make himself great. In a time of peace, he will destroy many, and he will even stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be broken off, but not by human hands.

Lawless One

Furthermore, Apostle Paul also gave us additional insight into the appearance of the “lawless one”.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one will be accompanied by the working of Satan, with every kind of power, sign, and FALSE wonder, 10and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them. 11 For this reason God will send them a powerful delusion so that they believe the lie, 12in order that judgment may come upon all who have disbelieved the truth and delighted in wickedness.

The lawless one, who is Lucifer a.k.a. the man doomed to destruction, will deceive people into believing in his religion which is the little horn belief system. The little horn belief system is based on opposing “the truth” that the people of God believe in. In other words, the little horn religion will bear the antichrist spirit.

He will use technology to create “false wonder” and “signs” that many people will fall for.

Abomination that Causes Desolation

Additionally, when Lucifer officially proclaims himself as the messiah, that would be what the Bible refers to as the “abomination that causes desolation”.

Daniel 9:27 And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him.”

Moreover, Apostle Paul explained how the abomination of desolation will take place.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

Jesus Christ himself warned us about the destruction that will come soon after he proclaims himself to be god.

Mark 13:14 So when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Moreover, Jesus Christ said that there will be great tribulation soon after Lucifer proclaims himself to be the messiah.

Matthew 24:21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ And The First Resurrection

Eventually, God will intervene on behalf of his chosen people, the two witnesses, and the 144,000 Israelites, they are the elect of God. Jesus Christ will come the second time to save God’s people and to destroy the beast, the little horn, and Lucifer.

Here are the verses that are telling us the details of Jesus Christ’s second coming and of the first resurrection.

Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified…

…11Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Apostle Paul explained how Lucifer will be destroyed.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Destruction of Lucifer, The King Of Babylon

Furthermore, the Prophet Isaiah gave us a detailed prophecy about the fall of Lucifer in the following verses.

Isaiah 14:12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
13For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God
; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ 15Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

16“Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying:Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, 17Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’

18“All the kings of the nations, All of them, sleep in glory, Everyone in his own house; 19But you are cast out of your grave Like an abominable branch, Like the garment of those who are slain, Thrust through with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the pit, Like a corpse trodden underfoot. 20You will not be joined with them in burial, Because you have destroyed your land And slain your people. The brood of evildoers shall never be named. 21Prepare slaughter for his children Because of the iniquity of their fathers, Lest they rise up and possess the land, And fill the face of the world with cities.”

Conclusion

Lucifer, the son of dawn is the man doomed to destruction, the man of sin, the man of lawlessness, the king who exalts himself, the king of Babylon, and the abomination that causes desolation.

It is Lucifer who will sit on the little horn’s throne and will be their final leader. He will persecute the “two witnesses” and the “144,000 Israelites” and will cause terrible destruction.

He will be the false light and the false messiah of the last days.

When he is finally ruling on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ’s second coming and the resurrection is at hand.

Well, that is it for now. I hope that you’ve learned something from this blog. Until next time friends, may God bless you!
