Did Saint Mary give birth to the Son of God? In a way, she did because her son Jesus inherited the name above all names. That name above all names that Jesus inherited is the name “Son Of God”.
In The Beginning
But even before Saint Mary gave birth to our Lord Jesus, the Son of God already existed in the beginning. Therefore, the Son of God wasn’t begotten by Mary’s womb but by God himself.
The following Bible passage explains to us how God begot the Son.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
You see friends, God is light.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
So, when God sent out His Word for light to appear, it created an image of himself since His word has no other reference for what light is except God himself who is light. His Word created another light.
Genesis 1:3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light…
The light that appeared as a result of God’s Word, was how God begot His Son.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. ..
Well, that’s my quick and simple explanation for how God begets His Son.
I hope that you understand what I’ve explained here.
Until next time friends, May God bless you! Let your light shine!
