A poem inspire by Bro. Eleazar
When first we were born, our spirits lay still,
Asleep in the shadow of God’s perfect will.
Our parents of flesh, they nurtured our frame,
But the Father of spirits—God—is His name.
Yet the mother of spirits we do not know,
Until born again, where truth starts to glow.
Awaken, O sleeper, rise from the dead,
And Christ will shine, just as it is said.
The heavenly Jerusalem, Mount Zion above,
Our mother eternal, who nurtures in love.
For Galatians declares, in freedom she reigns,
A mother of spirits, unbroken by chains.
You’ve found the way, the truth, and the light,
The Son of God, in His glory so bright.
Transferred from darkness to a kingdom of grace,
Where love everlasting lights every place.
His yoke is gentle, His burden so slight,
And you shine as the world’s guiding light.
A city on a hill, steadfast, unhidden,
In Christ’s kingdom, forever bidden.
