The opening of the first seal is the beginning of the unveiling of the Son of God — Jesus Christ — to His faithful believers.
Revelation 6:1-2 “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he rode out to overcome and conquer.“
The Rider
The rider on the white horse is the Son of God, the “Lion” of the tribe of Judah — Jesus Christ. Yet, it is the “Lamb” spirit of the Son of God who opens the first seal. Moreover, the sons of God will represent the Lord Jesus Christ — both as the Lamb and the Lion of the tribe of Judah — at the onset of His revelation, when the first seal is opened.
Furthermore, the Lion of Judah represents the church of the firstborn on Mount Zion, while the spirit of the Lamb resides within the saints and believers.
Hebrews 12:22-24 “Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to myriads of angels in joyful assembly, to the congregation of the firstborn, enrolled in heaven. You have come to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”
The priests, regarded as the church saints, offer spiritual sacrifices to God along with the other believers of God.
1 Peter 2:4 “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.“
They will all be given the crowns of life which qualifies them to be considered kings of the Kingdom of God.
Colossians 1:12-14 “giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.“
They will all be in the realm of Zion, the holy mountain, the city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem which is the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.”
The 144,000 Israelite Saints
Therefore, the revelation of Jesus Christ starts with the sons of God. They are the 144,000 Israelite saints of the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
The 144,000 elect saints will be found as priests in churches all over the world.
The Multitude
Moreover, the “multitude” mentioned in the book of Revelations are those who washed their robes in the blood of the lamb. They are also children of God.
Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Additionally, the “144,000 Israelites” and the “multitude” of the book of Revelation are also the “two witnesses” of the last days. They will represent the tribes of Judah and Israel.
The Bow
Now, the bow held by the rider of the white horse in this vision represents the tribe of Judah.
Zechariah 9:13 For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion, Against your sons, O Greece, And made you like the sword of a mighty man.”
Furthermore, the 144,000 sons of God will represent the tribe of Judah.
Overcoming And Conquering
The sons of God will overcome and conquer just as the Lord Jesus did. They will be given authority over the nations.
Revelation 2:26 The one who conquers and who keeps my works to the end: I will give him authority over the nations —
God will consider those who overcome to be his sons. They are the sons of God.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
The Sons Of God
The sons of God are what the whole creation has been waiting for according to Apostle Paul.
Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us. 19The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God.
The Crown
The first seal will conclude when the Son of God, Jesus Christ has been completely revealed. He will rule on earth with the sons of God.
Moreover, the “sons of God” and the “multitudes” will overcome and conquer just as the lion of the tribe of Judah did. They will ride on white horses also following the Son of God. They will be given authority to rule with Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:11Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, He judges and makes war. 12His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.
Conclusion
The first seal is opened by the Son of God, the rider of the white horse. He is the Lord Jesus Christ. And those who will overcome and conquer just as he did, will ride on white horses also and they will rule the world on Mount Zion —the kingdom of God. The sons of God are the 144,000 Israelites and the multitudes — the faithful and chosen. They will also represent the houses of Judah and Israel.
That’s it for now my friends. I hope you’ve learned something from this blog. God willing I will write about the opening of the “second seal” in one of the future blogs on this website. Until then, may God bless you!
