What is the truth? Part 3

Last updated on August 29, 2025

The Spirit of the Son: Our Light, Our King, Our Life

Have you ever wondered why the truth seems so elusive in this world? Why so many chase after spiritual answers yet remain blind to the Light? It’s because the truth is not just a concept—it is a Person. And that Person is the Lord, the Spirit, the Son of God.

Welcome back, friends and brethren. If you haven’t yet read Part 1 and Part 2, I encourage you to start there. Today, we continue our journey into the mystery and revelation of the Spirit of the Son. What you’re about to read might challenge you, encourage you, and hopefully awaken something deep within your spirit.

The Spirit Is the Son, and the Son Is the Truth

In the previous posts, we established a powerful truth: the Spirit is the truth (1 John 5:6), and the Lord is the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17). Therefore, Jesus Christ—the Son of God—is not just our King and Light; He is also the embodiment of truth. Through Him, we see God. In Him, we live and move and have our being.

The Son Is Our Access to God

Without the Son, we cannot approach God. But in Him, and through faith in Him, we gain access to God’s very presence with boldness and confidence.

Ephesians 3:12 – “In Him and through faith in Him we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.”

When God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, He gave us the means to cry out, “Abba, Father!”—a spiritual cry that reconnects us with our divine origin and purpose.

Galatians 4:6 – “And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’”

This is why we must cling to the Son with unwavering faith. He is not just a part of our belief system—He is our very life. Without Him, we are spiritually dead.

Life Is in the Son

Many claim to believe in God, but reject or overlook the Son. Yet Scripture is clear: eternal life is found only in the Son.

1 John 5:10–12 – “He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself… And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Sadly, many do not even realize that the Spirit of the Son is within them. Why? Because the enemy has blinded them.

The Battle for the Mind and Spirit

There is a spiritual war taking place all around us—and within us. The devil, the prince of darkness, works tirelessly to blind minds and conceal the truth of Christ’s glory.

2 Corinthians 4:4 – “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

While people may be aware of the “spiritual realm” many are not encountering the Spirit of God. Instead, they are unknowingly interacting with spirits of deception, led by the devil—the murderer and father of lies.

Ephesians 6:12 – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

This is why spiritual discernment is not optional—it is essential.

1 John 4:1 – “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

Your Mind and Heart Are Battlefields

Whether we realize it or not, our minds and hearts are battlegrounds where this war is waged. Our fight is not with human opponents but with demonic spirits that go against the knowledge of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3–5 – “For though we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh… We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Paul draws a clear distinction between two kinds of mindsets: the mind of the flesh and the mind of the Spirit.

Romans 8:6 – “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”

As believers, we must choose life. We must align our thoughts with the Spirit and reject the mind of flesh that leads to death.

Think on These Things

To live in the Spirit is to fill your mind with truth, purity, and excellence. Let your thoughts be shaped by the light, not the darkness.

Philippians 4:8 – “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think on these things.”

These virtues are not just moral ideals—they are spiritual weapons that help us stand firm against the enemy’s schemes.

Conclusion: Let the Light of the Son Shine Through You

Understanding the Spirit of the Son is not a theological luxury—it is a spiritual necessity. The enemy’s forces are cunning and relentless, and they operate in unseen realms. But the Spirit of the Lord gives freedom. He gives vision. He gives life. If you are in the Son, then you have the light. And if you have the light, then you must shine.

So, brothers and sisters, guard your minds. Keep your hearts in the Spirit. Stand firm in the truth of the Son, and never let go of the One who is your life, your King, and your eternal hope.

This concludes Part 3 of our journey. But the revelation doesn’t end here. Stay tuned for Part 4—and until then, may God bless you richly. Let your light shine boldly. Let the Spirit lead you. And most of all, never stop seeking the truth that is only found in the Son.
