The Parables of Jesus: The Father’s House

Last updated on February 24, 2023

Just want to share my insight on the verses below. These verses tell us what we will be like if we are blessed by God to take part in the resurrection.

Will Be Like Angels

Jesus said in Matthew 22:30, “For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

In the verse above, Jesus is telling us what we will be like when the dead are raised in the resurrection. He said that those who partake in the resurrection will be like as angels in heaven.

In another verse Apostle Paul asked in Hebrews 1:14, “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

Apostle Paul, in the verse above, gave us the idea of what angels do. Angels are spirits that minister to people who will be saved.

So from these verses, we can conclude that if we take part in the resurrection, we will be like angels who will help people whom God has chosen to be saved.

In The Father’s House

Jesus also gave this parable in John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

So in the above verse, Jesus mentioned his Father’s house has many rooms or dwelling places.

Apostle Paul, in Hebrews 3:6, explained, “But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.”

In the verse, we are told we are “God’s house”.

Conclusion

If we connect what the apostle Paul said and what Jesus said then we can say that the believers are the Father’s “house”. This is consistent with the first two verses above.  That those who will partake in the Resurrection will be like angels who will minister to God’s chosen people.
