From the beginning, God has revealed His plan—not just through words, but through appointed times. In Book of Leviticus 23, God established seven sacred feasts for Israel.
These feasts are more than ancient celebrations—they form a prophetic timeline that points directly to the work of Jesus Christ, from His first coming to His return.
The Spring Feasts — Fulfilled in Christ’s First Coming
The first four feasts were fulfilled with precision during the first coming of Christ.
1. Passover — The Sacrifice
Passover commemorates Israel’s deliverance from Egypt through the blood of a lamb.
Prophetically, this points to Jesus, the Lamb of God.
He was crucified during Passover—His blood brings deliverance from sin.
2. Unleavened Bread — The Burial
This feast represents the removal of leaven, a symbol of sin.
Jesus, who lived a sinless life, was buried during this feast.
He became the perfect, spotless sacrifice.
3. Firstfruits — The Resurrection
Firstfruits celebrates the first portion of the harvest offered to God.
Jesus rose from the dead on this very feast.
He is the “firstfruits” of those who will be raised to life.
4. Pentecost — The Holy Spirit
Pentecost marked the giving of the Law at Sinai.
- The gospel is going out to all nations
- People are being called into God’s Kingdom
- The harvest is still ongoing
The Fall Feasts
The final three feasts point forward to future events.
5. Feast of Trumpets — The Return
Trumpets signal awakening and gathering.
This points to the return of Christ,
when the trumpet will sound and the dead will rise.
6. Day of Atonement — Judgment
This was the most solemn day in Israel—a day of repentance and cleansing.
Prophetically, it points to final judgment and national repentance.
7. Feast of Tabernacles — God Dwelling With Man
This feast celebrates God dwelling among His people.
It points to the ultimate fulfillment:
God’s Kingdom established on earth, where He dwells with His people forever.
The Full Prophetic Timeline
The seven feasts form a complete picture:
- Passover → Crucifixion
- Unleavened Bread → Burial
- Firstfruits → Resurrection
- Pentecost → Holy Spirit / Church begins
- (Gap) → Church Age
- Trumpets → Christ’s return
- Atonement → Judgment
- Tabernacles → Kingdom of God
Why This Matters Today
We are living between Pentecost and Trumpets—a critical moment in God’s timeline.
The same God who fulfilled the first four feasts exactly on time will also fulfill the remaining ones.
This means:
- The return of Christ is not random—it is appointed
- The world is moving toward a divine conclusion
- The call right now is to be ready
Final Thought
The feasts begin with deliverance through blood and end with God dwelling with His people.
From Egypt…
To the cross…
To the Kingdom…
This is the story of redemption.
