What is the truth?

There is an inescapable truth that people won’t be able to deny. It’s a huge part of our existence in this world. It is life for those who understand and obey it, or death to those who deny it.

1 John 5:6 …the Spirit is the truth.

The understanding of the truth, which is the Spirit, is not a given thing. In fact, it remains a “secret” until a person encounters it.

Psalm 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

Understanding The Spirit

You must seek the truth in order to understand it. There are those who encounter the Spirit as “the secret” but they don’t necessarily understand it. God has designed it this way so that those who are inclined towards God could see through the veil of secrecy and ultimately find the truth but those who are inclined towards evil and death will not see though it at all.

2 Corinthians 4:3 And And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

The truth that has been with us since the beginning of our life and will be with us until the end.

Matthew 28:20 ….I am with you always, even to the end of the age

But we will not know it exist unless we seek it. The truth can be understood through the word of God.

John 8:32 “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The Light is the truth

Moreover, most people end up encountering the Spirit but taken into darkness by the devil. They are deceived by the devil and are unable to see the “true light” who is the Son of God.

2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The Son of God is the truth. He is the manifestation of God’s word. He is the Light. He is the Spirit that is in us and through us always. He is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Summary

The Son of God, the Light, is the Truth and the Spirit. This is the mystery of God that has been hidden, and it is up to you to seek and understand it.
