In part 1, we learned that the Spirit is the truth.
Moreover, the Spirit is the Lord—the Son of God, the Light, and the King.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
The Spirit
Futhermore, the Spirit has existed since the beginning of creation, playing a vital role in bringing the entire universe into existence.
Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.”
And, through Him (the Spirit, the Son of God) all things were made.
Colossians 1:15-17 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
Begotten By God
The Spirit was produced by God’s Word when He commanded light to appear.
Genesis 1:3And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
The light that was produced by God’s word is the Son of God. He is the Spirit. The King and the Light.
The King
In the following verse, the exchange between The Lord Jesus Christ and Pontious Pilate highlights the truth.
John 18:37 You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
The reason why Jesus said this is because He was the chosen king in the Spirit realm. The “King” is the Spirit of the Son of God —the truth.
Moreover, The Lord Jesus Christ also said that He is the Light. The Light is also the Spirit of the Son of God.
The Light
John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Although, the Pharisees tried to dismiss his claim of being the Light, there were people who believed that he was the chosen King and Light, the Messiah, the Son of God.
Spiritual Reality
The Truth is the Light and the King, the Son of God, appointed by God as the heir of all creation.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Some may argue that they don’t believe in God, insisting that this “King and Light, the Son of God truth” has no relevance to them and does not affect their lives.
But, my friends, let me share this with you: while one might find ways to evade taxes, no one can escape the Truth, the King, and the Light—the Son of God. He in you, through you, and above you at all times. Sooner or later, you will come to recognize this reality. It is far better to seek the Truth now than to be ensnared by darkness. When you earnestly seek and understand the Truth, you will receive the light of life and be delivered from the grasp of darkness.
Darkness
In fact, we contantly have to deal with darkness while living in this world. It’s an unescapable spiritual reality because the devil is always trying to oppose the truth, the Son of God who is trying to manifest in people.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
In order to battle these spiritual forces of darkness, you will need the help of the Son of God. Without him, you will have no chance of fighting the forces of darkness. You will become enslaved by them whether you like it or not.
1 John 3:8 The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
Believe in the Son of God
Therefore, you need to believe in the Son of God and let His Spirit shine through you in order to overcome and break the bond of darkness and the devil.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption to sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
The Son of God, who can form in you if you believe in him, will be able to deliver you.
1 John 4:4 “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
Conclusion
The Spirit is the Son of God—He is the Light, the King, and the Truth. He is the Lord Jesus Christ. To overcome the prince of darkness, the devil, you need the Son of God. There is no escaping the Spirit, for true freedom is found only in the Son. Without Him, there is no freedom, as the devil will always seek to suppress the presence of the Son of God within you.
