How will the second coming of Yeshua (Jesus) take place? According to the Scriptures, everybody will see him coming and many will be caught off guard as Jesus foretold in the following verses.
“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son Of Man.” –Luke 17:26
“For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in His day.” — Luke 17:24
Then, we will all be changed. Something will happen to us spiritually, physically and mentally that will change the way we see things to get us ready for the Millennium Kingdom of Christ. The dead in Christ will be raised up. This is also referred to as the “First Resurrection.”
“In a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.” –1Corinthians 15:52
“According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left ’till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.” –1Thessalonians 4:15
This means the dead who will be resurrected by the coming of Yeshua will rise up from their graves first. Apostle John told us not to be amazed or surprised when we see these things happening.
“Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice.” –John 5:28
“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.” –Luke 4:16
Yeshua (Jesus) will then send his angels to gather his people from the four corners of the Earth. And those who are still alive who have kept the word of God and obeyed them will be caught up in the air to meet him as written in the Scriptures in the following verses.
“And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. ” –Matthew 24:31
“After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” –1Thessalonians 4:17
